Allison Farkas

LSWAIC, Clinical Social Worker

I understand what it's like to struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, the quest for external validation, PTSD, ADHD, and other ways our past challenges and traumas impact our current lives and relationships. I offer a nonjudgemental, compassionate space for you to be your most authentic self so that you can learn to accept and love yourself.

Areas of Expertise

Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, ADHD, Life Transitions, Relationship Issues, Stress,
Self-Esteem

My approach is built on a foundation of honesty and trust, combining mindfulness and cognitive techniques within the framework of understanding your “internal family” of parts. I will offer you my authenticity and expertise as a professional, but also myself as an empathetic human being who has known her own challenges and triumphs as a mother, spouse, friend, and professional.

I graduated from The Juilliard School of Music in the early 2000's with a Master’s degree in viola performance after attending the University of Illinios and Manhattan School of Music for my bachelor’s degree in viola performance. I’ve enjoyed a fulfilling career as a classical musician and teacher for the past two dedades. After a transformative therapeutic experience I entered a Master’s in Social Work program with the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2024.
